Beautifully maintained with many amenities for your comfort and pleasure, the structure, furnishings and general decor of the Halsey House Inn and the grounds will be appreciated and enjoyed by all. The house retains its original wide-planked floors, flame-grained doors, beautiful moldings and windows. High ceilings and numerous large windows give it a bright spacious atmosphere. Choose one of the common areas to read, play a game or just meditate. Be sure and visit our online Photo Gallery to view more photos of the Inn.
Relax outside on the covered porch with wicker seating or make yourself comfortable on a chair in the backyard and gaze at the trees and foliage all around you. Perhaps your eye will catch a resident chipmunk scurrying about in one of the bushes. In the courtyard is a paradise of waterfalls and murals, where you can easily be transported into a wonderful dream.
Back inside, the Library Game Room features a large leather-topped table for card playing, games or jigsaw puzzles, as well as a lending library of books and DVD movies. Nearby is the Parlor with black marble gas fireplace, comfy upholstered seating and a great chess corner.
On the second floor at the end of the hall you’ll find a quiet seating area with a desk and laptop computer with WiFi, and a mini-fridge for guest use. It is a great sunny reading or gathering area.
In the dining room each morning you’ll be greated by soft music playing in the background, and right on queue, your host Mitch will make his entry. From his cheerful and impeccable food service to the delicious gourmet style breakfast entrees, all expertly prepared by KC, you will be delighted! KC carefully chooses her menus through much advance preparation and experimentation, and what finally appears on your plate each morning is the very best of the best for your pleasure.
The Inn’s Aviary, is home to 6 exotic parrots. You are welcome to visit the birds when accompanied by your hosts.
Your hosts, Mitch and his wife, KC, are warm and personable and make themselves available for your questions about where to go and how to get there without being obtrusive. Mitch and KC look forward to welcoming you to The Halsey House.
